One long sleeve top and one pair of light-weight trousers!
I have a light-weight, large cotton shirt that is never too far away, it´s not only great for keeping the mosquito bites at bay, (because they say baggy clothing is best as they can still get you through tight clothing), but it also comes in handy when my pale English skin has seen a little too much sun.
No matter how hot it is, you will be grateful for sleeves and trousers when you make that spontaneous trip into the jungle, or think that sleeping under the stars on the beach is just the most romantic, perfect idea. (Red itchy legs...not so romantic the next day).
Remember, it isn´t a fashion show, and yes you will be a little clamy with all those clothes on but tuck those trousers into your socks, extend those sleeves as far as they will go and pull that collar up.

You could go as far as I did, despite the mockery from my fellow travellers, and wear a buff on your head and socks on your hands. Too far perhaps, but the others soon followed my lead and begged for my forgiveness.
